Mod support yes. Please allow mods to run on private servers or connected modded realm on bnet. Staying true to the original game is fantastic, but mods also provide great experiences and online communities are a huge part of keeping them going.

The score Matt Uelmen composed for Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction is still unmatched in the Diablo franchise.

I'm really looking forward to D2R! But! Please delete the some Runewords that make all characters use other characters' unique skills. For example, Enigma, Call to arms, Chaos, etc. Personally, I don't want D2's original concept to disappear. I enjoyed from D2 original 1.03 to 1.12(expansion set), but personally, 1.07 was the golden age of D2. After 1.10, Diablo 2's original concept seemed to disappear due to the new skill synergy systems and new Runwords. So I personally didn't like it... The developers all know when the real golden age of D2 was. After patch 1.10, many users have left.

This is AMAZING you guys! I have been waiting years to see this. Let's see what will D4 be, but after the huge disappointment of the overly colourful Diablo 3, and the out of season April's Fool Joke, this is like a breath of fresh air because we all know how amazing the game is already, but feels like brand new with the re-style. That unsettling dark atmosphere, the soundscape, the story, the characters, all so perfect, and now seemengly perfected. Please, just stick to this model, you know what works and what we like, don't change the winning team!

Please Don't Change any Character Voice and BGM of Original Diablo 2. Just upgrade the resolution problem of 3d quality game and high-end effect. Too much darknest brings some dark emotion to players that could be easily exhausted. I felt Diablo 3 was the worst masterpiece among them. so Plz do not make diablo 2 resurrection lile a Diablo 3.

Diablo 2 is by far my favorite in the series. I doubt if anyone thinks 1 is better and Diablo 3 had much better graphics and plenty of depth to it with a lot of endgame content but I never enjoyed it half as much as the first one. This looks great, giving Diablo 2 a graphics overhaul and whatever else they throw in there just makes one of the best games of all time even better. For me personally though I am not really excited to get this and play it. I kept playing this game for a long time, no idea how long I played it but what made me quit playing it was that the endgame was just such a grind and ultimately about the only thing to do was go on Baal runs or goof around with secret cow level and stuff like that. I know a lot of people enjoyed upgrading weapons and gems and having things to do after they already beat the game but I always thought that this was not a good system and since this game (and Diablo 1) was the prototype of this Genre almost all Diablo clones incorporated this mechanic. For me the fun of Diablo 2 was making new characters with different skills and getting better at picking the best skills in the different trees to use. One of the restrictions of Diablo 2 was that you could not repick your skills at higher levels, whatever path you chose for your character they had to stay on it for better or worse. Diablo 3 took away this restriction and let you change your skills whenever you wanted, so there was no need to create multiple characters for the same class because you could just re-pick. I am not sure if this is one of the reasons why I liked Diablo2 more than 3 but I am sure that is one of the factors. Another one may be just that their were lots of these types of games made so Diablo 3 just felt like 1 of many Diablo types of games, Diablo 2 was very unique, 3 wasn't. The other factor is that there are so many of these types of games now so I am not very inclined to revisit this but I am very glad they did this because it will introduce this classic to a younger generation, If you have kids that have never played a Diablo type of game now they can start off with the original the way that I did. I will get this for my Daughter to play and I definitely am interested to see it and what they did but I really doubt I will put in very much playtime, there are just too many great games out that I have never played and new ones coming out all the time.
